According to AARP, The Magazine, there are steps you can take to improve your happiness. Number 1 on the list is: Nestle in the Right Neighborhood. The article notes that “Where you choose to live is one of the most important determinants of your happiness.”
It goes on to say that “… if you’re looking for a retirement destination, here are some things to keep in mind: People are generally happiest in sunny areas, in the Pacific Northwest, and near water. Look for neighborhoods with sidewalks, meeting places, and other characteristics that nudge you into social interaction. Easy access to green spaces and recreation also favors well-being.”
The Highlands fits the bill! We have planned the neighborhood to be people-friendly, with community buildings and walking paths, which also encourage you to get outside and enjoy the sun (when you can!) and the natural surroundings. The city of Langley is within walking distance and boasts many places to meet friends and enjoy the views.
So stop by and see our newest home, the Sandpiper. It is currently under construction, and you can watch the progress and see the many energy-saving and green practices that we use. It is also available for pre-sale – now you can think about moving to a happy place!
